I have a sculptor approach to painting. What are my chances with this material which change state from fluidity in a pot to being dry and solid on canvas ? Through a process i create a painting. Here i tried to get an image, from a newspaper photography of the "Venus de Brassempouy" a hand-sized amulette carved in a bone. Then i discovered that my process gave me a hard time to represent this little Vénus, in spite of her formally simple shapes.
Oil paint, lacquer, canvas, wooden strecher, light varnish matt, string.
