" 'Serenity' is a study of a mare I am very fond of, who lives in a field near to my home. I draw from life as much as possible as part of my artistic practice, and this particular mare is one of my main models. During a sketching session one day, the sunlight was dazzling and highlighted some beautiful colours in her coat. This study explores these colours enhanced by the summer sun.

This painting is framed in a dark brown and distressed gold frame behind glass. It was framed by Impact Framers, Barnsley who are members of the Fine Art Trade Guild"

Materials used:

Winsor & Newton Artists quality watercolours. Painted on Langton Prestige 100% cotton watercolour paper. Mounted using off white Arcadia Museum grade conservation mount board, and conservation tape.
