I live about 5 miles from this spot. This barn is well known to the residents of Susanville, California. It's about 85 miles north of Reno, Nevada on HWY 395. You have to take a local back road to find this scene. The sunrise on this particular fall morning was special mix of peace and beauty. To the west you can see Diamond Mountain, capped with early snow in the fall, which is part of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. To the east are the desert areas of northern Nevada. This area is a unique contrasting geographical creation. I love living here! Elevation: 4,300 feet
