Original artwork description:
This painting is an attempt to escape from captivity, real or metaphorical, which was suggested to me by the prolonged period of quarantine due to the health emergency from Covid-19 in spring 2020. In a world that seems to be suspended, everyone's universe has shrunk to their own domestic walls and the only way to escape is with the imagination; I therefore brought together in a surreal vision some symbolic elements of what freedom is for me, including the plunge - a way to take flight and land beyond the obstacle.
