Part of the CalbinoOz series, Sémaphore is a sculpture made from natural calabash wood from which the skin and internal seeds have been removed, making it extremely light. Her garment, face and extremities were modeled with surfine wood cellulose, then painted with acrylic or water-soluble oil and varnished.

She represents a round, funny little woman with a somewhat extraterrestrial look, with her Mongolian-style hairstyle, high ponytail and bare skull, pale bluish-white overalls and long neck reminiscent of semaphores, her shoes in the shape of old-fashioned babouches protruding from a kind of panty.

Sémaphore is a small nod to the singularity of time, with its non-linear crossing of eras. Signed piece under a shoe.

Materials: dried empty calabash wood, surfine wood cellulose, nylon for hair, resin for eyes, acrylic paint and protective varnish.
