Original artwork description:

A colorful and bold gestural painting with plenty of energy. This piece is a likeness of myself in my painting apron. It arose spontaneously after a period of automatic painting. By applying paint with no agenda, I can let go of control, allowing random marks to morph into faces or figures. Being able to engage with my emotions and memories while I apply paint allows me to tap into something deeper: to freeze a fleeting frame or dream-like moment. This particular piece conveys a new found identity and inner strength. I hope it resonates with you.
