Original artwork description:

I am inspired by what I see around me and my works express the beauty and peacefulness of people doing everyday things. Many times in my work I love to use traditional colors and dress. This is one way that I can be a part of keeping the culture that I love so much alive. This painting serves as an example as the young boy sits preparing. He is optimistic, as a "New Day" begins, that he will find success.

I am passionate about exploring color. And the colors in this painting help to express the overall mood. My main medium is acrylic paint. Using acrylic's gives me the affect that I want in my work since it dries fast and I can add layer upon layer quickly. The layers build and become the wonderful colors and also the texture that I am aiming for. I believe that everyone should have original art in their home. When you view my works it is my desire that you will be inspired by the scenes and uplifted by the content.

Materials used:

Coffee bean bag, acrylic paint, on stretchers, hanging wire attached
