Original artwork description:

The turned bog oak forms the center. It has been completely hollowed out, is untreated and the knife marks are visible on the surface. This does justice to the sub-fossil wood. Impaled on a silver-colored thorn (also bog oak), these jointly pierce the curved arm of an open hand made of cherry wood. The seed pod of a beech tree lies loosely in this. The assemblage is attached to a curved stainless steel.
