Original artwork description:

Large scale study in Charcoal, Chalk and Conte on thick, acid-free paper.

This is the first in a series of studies based around the idea of floating forms. I love the shapes we make with our bodies when we're jumping - that sense of temporary weightlessness - which is actually quite abstract. These pieces are a celebration of that idea and an attempt to convey a glimpse of the pure joy we all find in that moment of freedom.

Supplied unframed, wrapped in tissue within a protected cardboard roll tube.

Materials used:

Charcoal, chalk and conte
