My name is Angelica Klimina, I am a professional artist with a theater background, living in Seville, Spain.
In my work I deal with sleep issues. After all, most of the time we live in sleep - in this little-explored parallel world. As an artist I love to study and decipher dreams, the fact is that the images we experience in dreams are often realistic, fragmentary, while other parts of dreams are incredible, blurred or on the verge of fantasy, and this is manifested in my unique style, combining realistic and abstract details. In my work I convey the contrast of a focused point in memory and a blurred perception in a dream.
I want the viewer to see images of memories in a dream.
So, I show a series of different practices based on conscious dreams. In each work, I put a deep meaning behind the practice. Every person ever preaches recipes for getting out of the body, which I transfer to canvas and remind us that we unconsciously lose a part of in deep sleep. My idea is to help the viewer wake up from deep sleep and open new gates of life!
My work has been influenced by artists such as René Magritte, Robert Wilson, Fabien Verdier, James Harris and Salavat Gilyazetdinov.
