I don’t know what it is about a Still Life, but there is a way of capturing a moment of one’s life just by portraying a collection of objects.
But even though these objects might have meaning to the artist why should they be of interest to the observer? The answer I hope is that by creating a particular instance of my surroundings or a personal memory it will be possible to relate this similar sensation to whoever sees my still life.
As simple as a mug of flowers, a shell and a view of the seashore might seem I’m hoping to reach a moment of happiness from some distant memory within you that you would also love to relive.
This is a limited edition linocut reduction print of 11.
Please be aware that these are hand pressed and so there will be some textural differences within each print and some slight embossing on the surface of the paper, but these are all marks to prove they were handmade by the artist.
