Rather than being a specific place, I like to give my landscapes more a sense of place, the memory of a place we have walked through, seen or lived by. They suggest the waves always crashing against a shore, the wind blowing, the seagull diving for his catch, time passing and weather changing, the place where land and sky meet.

Materials used: best quality oil paints; deep edge canvas; varnished for protection
