I work in a hyperrealistic style. The medium is oil on canvas. I like this style because it's challenging for the artist and at the same time it is appealing to both art lovers and collectors. I choose my subjects meticulously as I am interested in detail and I want to show my skills at their best. I do hope my work will be thought-provoking for viewers as well.
For this particular artwork I was inspired by the sunset on the beach and the mix of gold colours, shades and nuances evoked nostalgic memories and feelings in my mind. I was obsessed with this challenging goal - to recreate this scene of the sea, the sky and the setting sun in oil on my canvas. I hope the finished piece is a fitting reflection of the seascape as well as of my feelings and thoughts at that moment. Of course, everyone could find their own ideas or associations.
