So “Search” was inspired by one of the writings found on Richard Deibenkorn’s wall, on his studio wall
And the idea was that you search but don’t know what you are looking for
and I felt that that very much
summed up the whole business of being a painter, in that you’re constantly searching for something but you don’t really know what it is
And you have to be open whatever comes along. so that’s the inspiration for that painting

acrylic on canvas, unstretched and ships in a tube
