Original artwork description:

"seahorse - why? | why not?" is an energetic, seemingly chaotic, yet carefully balanced and inherently friendly piece. The fresh shades of blue, broken up by splashes and smears of white and accentuated with shining silver elements almost make it dance. At the same time, it has a dreamy, almost space-like quality to it, that makes the motive seem to float, expand and shift its shape.

The artwork is a diptych and comes in a white wooden floating frame (handmade in Berlin) which keeps the two canvases and hence the artwork together. Each canvas is 60x80x2cm (WxHxD), equaling 120x80x2cm together, and set in a frame totaling 124x84x4cm.

"seahorse - why? | why not?" belongs to an ongoing series called "free flow". I work on the series in very irregular intervals, since I need to be in a very special state of mind in order to truly let the colors flow out of me and onto the canvas. Hence, each one of the "free flow" artworks is very special, as it is painted with pure intuition.

Materials used:

Acrylic, spraypaint
