As I was drawing the “Over the River” picture many seagulls would come and land on the window sill squawking for food. Actually they would come at all times of the day and especially when we made food with the window open, it was amazing how quickly they would appear when we had food! As they landed outside I would stop drawing the landscape picture and try to capture my new feathery models! It was definitely a challenge to try to draw them from life as they wouldn’t stay still very long! I had to keep swapping between the two seagull pictures and landscape drawing as the birds came and went. I think they were the same ones coming back, but, luckily most seagulls look quite similar so I just had to wait for the same pose!
