I grew up near the sea, and it has always been a companion through my life, a symbol of my temperament and my mood. This canvas was a gift from a good friend and I painted over another painting, so it is a recycled work. I love the movement of the waves and oil in its liquid form allows me to freeze drops and splashes as if I were there near the wave, listening to its sound.
