Sitting at the harbour, watching the boats and the seagulls. Listening to the sound of the rippling water. Isn’t that a soothing memory of holidays gone by?

I created this work with acrylic paints and stencils of simple shapes on my home-made gelatine plate. It consists of three layers of paint printed on top of each other.

Printing gives me the pleasure of surprise. It always turns out different than expected. This triggers new ideas.
