Incredible artwork , made solely with a palette knife . Very energetically , beautifully captured movement of water . Usually seascapes are made of the sunset and daytime views , but this artwork captures water at its most mysterious time , at night . You can almost hear the sound of waves looking at it . I never use black colours in my art . The darker tones are of Prussian blue , which gives the artwork a pearly effect . When it catches the light you can see the depth of the painting . Waves are almost sculpted with a palette knife , giving an artwork very interesting textures and a 3d effect. It can be viewed as an abstract piece , yet very realistic . It can be hang without a frame as the edges have been painted over .
