An original, handmade collagraph: a portrait of a hen. Limited edition 2 of 3.

Collagraphy is a form of intaglio printmaking, in which the printing surface is constructed from a collage of various different glued materials - which can include sandpaper, carborundum, textiles, fibres... or anything else the artist can find! The result is rich and subtle printed image, which can portray a broad range of tones and textures to create deep and detailed works of art.

Nb: Actual image size is 30x37cm, printed on a sheet of dimensions 39x57cm to allow for mounting and framing.
