'Science of Sleep' .

"Set in a strange, museum-like room, it features a faded animal skeleton, entirely at odds with the luminous female figure across the room. The woman faces a backlit door, symbolizing all sorts of escape and a yearning for freedom from the surreal diorama she shares with the bones. However, there is no fear nor animosity in the scene- just desire, coming from both the dead and the living. And just like that, Nikolina blends the two, saving the story but inviting us to distinguish the emotional signals in the piece rather than its statement."...from Highlark Magazine
"....All those bones and skeletons...they were a part of beings that were once alive and had some purpose.
They remind me of something that once had its place in our lives, some kind of an emotion, friendship, relationship...that eventually died and became some distant memory. It exists here somewhere, runs and appears around like those skeletons, but still it is just a ghost from the past."
Limited Edition artworks are available as fine art, museum-quality, archival pigment prints, professionally printed on heavyweight, acid free, archival paper with white border.
During the proofing process Nikolina works closely with her printer to produce colours and finishes for every artwork, with attention to crisp details of the print. Each print is carefully inspected before final dispatching.
