My professional career was as an estuarine and marine biologist and I only started painting in about 2006. Now art dominates my life.
This artwork is called "Science" and it is an homage to scientists throughout the world, especially those who have researched covid-19 and created new effective vaccines in record time. It features scientific objects including animals, stoppered flasks, filing cabinets, a river and island, petri dish, microscope and electron pairs moving during a chemical reaction. The lines that may appear to be white in the photos are actually silver in colour and made using silver coloured ink.
It would look great in a variety of settings and is ready to hang.
Materials used:
Acrylic paint brushed over canvas. Silver details added with silver coloured ink.
