This 19th century Schynige Platte Railway is a real evocative travel experience. You recall bygone days as you sit back in comfort for the 7 km ride up the Schynige Platte and savour breathtaking view across Lake Thun and the majestic mountains beyond as the rack-and-pinion railway chugs comfortably up the mountain, passing through alpine pastures and areas of dense forest.
Primarily I work with acrylic paint and ink, collage and mixed media. The acrylics are applied with rollers, pieces of shaped wood, card and any found materials. Collage materials comprise of torn or shaped tissue paper, newsprint, and magazine illustrations. Details are then added with acrylic paint and ink, oil and chalk pastels, pen and ink. I have published a book illustrating my work entitled “Painting Without Brushes” which sums up my style of painting.
