In search of a maritime subject in the Dutch coastal town of Terneuzen, I stumbled upon this tug boat and, since I am from Scotland, I thought this is just made for me – “Schotland – Terneuzen!” I set up my easel on the grassy bank and painted this scene of the robust, powerful little boat tied up here, waiting to be called out to the next job of guiding big boats from all over the world into the harbour.

This unique artwork is sold mounted and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
