Original artwork description:

The inspirational theme for this motif derived from nature, more precisely from a mountain range. Sometimes I perceive my environment in a kind of fragmented way, in bits and pieces. Like a puzzle in reverse I reset the fragments in a slightly different way when drawing it.
For this work I drew on an ultra thin tissue which I mounted on cardboard. Due to the delicate material the mounting process itself was a creative process alowing me to actually form the surface by creating wrinkles and other marks to give the drawing a special structure and patina. 
This drawing is a small but dense piece of art, it concentrates a lot of information on just 25 by 20 cm.
