My aim for this painting was to create a beautiful, inspiring, joyous image. My source image was a beautifully patterned geometric textile. Painted square by square with acrylic paint, I wanted to depict the textile in a contemporary way with a nod to technology. There are slightly raised lines where the edges meet. This style of painting is referred to as "Hard Edge" which is related to Geometric Abstraction. This painting would make a great center piece.
