Original artwork description:

Climbing up the hill above the village of Glynde on a hot Summer's day I took a little break, turning around to view the landscape I was shocked to see a ominous looking scarecrow in the middle of the cereal field that I'd been walking besides. The combination of landscape beyond and unusual sight of a scarecrow in such a setting was calling out to be painted.
