Instead Arturo,
has a straight and confident look
Years and years of prayer,
it has always been a serious thing for him
In his room he always thought
How fun it would be
To arrange the nuns like figurines
but behind some with hare masks
Always praying for charity
But to play, a mask here and there
They have always said they were convinced
And with their speeches they have always pushed
In the conscience of each of us
And Always listening to them... What do you want...
Now the world is different,
the church exists but everything has been lost
We get informed, we can know
Even what you shouldn't see
Behind screens of hallucinations
I open my eyes and I have visions
Now they are sitting behind me
They all look in my direction and I know why.
Before I prayed and in the church I was a believer
Now I have grown up and I don't need anything anymore!
The increasingly deep-rooted conviction that we no longer need anything, much less the church, which has constantly disappointed all expectations with its actions over time... All that remains for us is prayer with the HIM...directly concerned.
This new series is dedicated to kids, to today's youth and to their psyche. Despite everything, they take care of their appearance and they do it in a very personal way. I painted them in a dreamlike and fantasy context, as if it were a projection of their thinking and their emotions. The kids at the zoo because the world has fewer and fewer rules, more and more individualistic, this is also due to the advance of progress, which allows us to do most things alone, and therefore tends to isolate us. Everyone seems to grow with themselves and the virtual world, while out there it becomes more and more chaos: the climate, environmental and social problem increases, without anyone making a breakthrough to stop all this. And then strange, gloomy environments are created, drained if we want from their innate vitality. We see very beautiful houses, but abandoned, with uncultivated vegetation that envelops deserted streets, and men with masks that hide their identity. The spaces are filled with strange sounds, and nuns and priests pray for a miracle, while the world seems not to listen. All this fascinates and frightens at the same time, creating a surreal atmosphere that is reflected in the works of art.
