This painting was inspired by a recent trip to South Africa, where a savannah rolled out in front of us with the mountains beyond. It is not a true representation of the scene, but a memory captured and rendered between reality and abstraction. It is painted in oils and cold wax medium, applied with a palette knife. It is signed front and back, and comes ready to hang with d-rings and wire, in a white painted wood floater frame.
