Sauvie's Gold is an original oil painting from my series of contemporary abstract landscapes. This series is inspired by the natural world, the contours of the land and hills, the sky’s atmosphere and cloud formations, the flow of the sea and rivers. These shapes and forms are abstracted to their energetic essence and combined with the vibrant colors that I love so much.

It has a modern minimal aesthetic and was inspired by the gorgeous landscape and serene beauty of Sauvie Island in Oregon. It captures the rich warm earthy tones in gold, amber and brown against the vibrant blues of the water and distant hills.

Painted on a 1.25” gallery wrapped canvas with the edges painted white it comes ready to hang and signed on the front. It is finished with a layer of protective varnish giving the surface a smooth satin finish.
