ORIGINAL OGNYAN HRISTOV SCULPTURE !
2022, "Satori - Completion" - stone sculpture
This original white limestone and green marble sculpture on white limestone stand is one of the latest artworks of the talented Bulgarian contemporary artist Ognyan Hristov, deeply inspired by modernism, organic abstraction and zen art. It is one extraordinary solid stone masterpiece and exquisite modern home décor.
"Satori" is the title of a series of stone sculptures by this sculptor. The inspiration for their creation was provoked by the idea of a union between man and his true nature in an all-encompassing world that is in constant interaction with him. Each artwork expresses an inner sense of merging with one's surroundings, sealing an aspect of this complementarity into a harmonious state of being. The daily routine and commitment of a person to society can exist in unity with nature, just as the human self is in continuous connection with the root cause and essence of everything - with the absolute and the eternal. The hardness and density of the stone seals a moment of the incessant movement. In this work, the two sides of interaction and the movement, and spaces that unites them, are conceptually recreated in correspondence with each other. The basic principle is the complementarity between this dual forces. This special work expresses the attraction, entry, swirling and union with the essence. The transition from the tangible to the void and complete merging with it. What is not is what it is, what it is - is what it isn't. The symbol of eternal movement - engendering in the void of infinity.
