Original artwork description:

I made this work on a frame, treated the background with chalk to create a material layer, coloured it with ochre, burnt earth and blue and only then did I start painting with oil paints.
I use oil paints by superimposing many thin layers of thinner colours to create the effects I want.

I have depicted some river stones that I collect on all my trips,
I like to imagine that I have caught them trying to find their balance and show off their skills!

I finished painting this work in 2005 and it is part of the series I MNEMAGOGHI = memory arousers.


The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
