Original artwork description:

I made this work on a frame, treated the background with chalk to create a textured layer, coloured it with ochre, burnt earth and earth shadow and only then did I start painting with oil colours.
I use oil paints by superimposing many layers of thin colours to create the effects I want.
I represented two river stones that I collect during all my travels.
I painted two stones of them side by side, supporting each other and keeping each other company like old friends!
I finished painting this work in 2005 and it is part of the series I MNEMAGOGHI = memory arousers.


The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
