This original painting of a ballerina performing is painted with a light, delicate palette of blues, lilacs and soft greys. Ballet is possibly my favourite subject, I always love the challenge of capturing the graceful, delicate movements of the dancer, and the way the dresses give me the chance to be more expressive with the paint.
It is painted on deep profile canvas, with the sides painted black. It will be varnished and ready to hang.
