Large Cross Wall Decor embellished with beads and jewelry, Santa Fe Style. Inspired by Navajo and Hopi artisan Santa Fe Style jewelry with turquoise and red coral (dyed howlite) in combination with silver beads and crosses. I also used wood beads. I’ve made all sorts of crosses since living out West. I have met many people who have walls of crosses they have collected. The cross is a devotional piece and brings us a remembrance that our home is part of how we live in service to others and share love. A cross can symbolize many things. I can relate to so many ways it gives my life meaning. I enjoy making religious art. It really feels like a calling.
