My recent trip to Tasmania for the Australian Wooden Boat Festival was a great chance to experience the coastline around Hobart. I love how the mountain was contrasting with the color of the boats. It was a beautiful time and I want this painting to represent the beauty and color of Hobart. I love the fairness of the sky looking like the fluidity of water. I've used a drawing method of scratching back to reveal a complementary red, orange and yellow undertones in the background paint layers.
