Sandpit field Swanage, Dorset
Light appearing through the clouds,
I look across to exotic palm trees,
Yuccas, hebes and grasses,
The scene reminds me of the Canary Islands,
I am by the Dorset coast instead.

Words and experience in Winter.
Original impressionist watercolour on rough textured watercolour paper Fabriano 300 gsm 140lb. I used my sable hair brush, fan brush to achieve the back washes and detail of the greenery. I enjoy painting yuccas and palm trees, I love there shape, form and different shades of green. When everything is bare in winter there is always evergreen trees and flora.
