I spotted this lovely house in San Francisco and was transfixed by its colour, the lovely dark green hues that reminded me of foliage and trees, by the splashes of vibrant of orange and red. I wanted to immortalize it, this lovely house that looked like a movie set. I wanted to know what lay behind its windows, imaging rooms of Victorian shadows, clouds of sandalwood incense and lingering scents of baking. This work is a perfect souvenir of America, a lovely gift for a home.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
