In 1615 Osaka Castle was attacked by warring Samurai and burned to the ground. It has been rebuilt since then and stands today. The samurai on horseback in this painting has the colors of his house on a pole sticking up from his back so as to be easily recognizable during a battle.
This firey painting has been created using professional grade acrylics on archival quality 118lb canvas paper and coated with a clear varnish to protect the surface. the overall size is 16X20 inches which is 40X50 centimeters.
