This painting is part of the series “Small figures” and it shows a samurai holding a mop and stuff for cleaning. It is an ironic representation of everyday life, created mixing a fascinating character with items of common use. I painted this artwork on a white background to let the figure stand out. The samurai dress is red and, standing on the white background, reminds the flag of Japan. The artwork is higly detailed and painted in a clever, realistic style.
