The samurai
Sawed from a quince trunk with a Japanese pull saw this is a phenomenon that is certain to occur only once, because the graphics are drawn exclusively by nature. On the one hand a samurai is shown, on the other hand there is a being that personally reminds me of an angel. Whether this disc is placed in a frame as a wall picture or as a sculpture is open and up to the future owner. Perhaps it will be used as a trophy or a martial arts club prize. I show some picture examples here. The delivery consists of this unusual disc with about 50 annual rings which I removed the bark, sanded down to 400 grit and polished to a high gloss with my own natural wax mixture. The base is a slice, a hand-sawn oak root that I burned, dried, brushed and sealed with wax. The connector is only a 5mm short, flexible bonsai copper wire piece. A pivot point allows you to choose a position as desired. Pictures, frames and decoration are not part of the delivery. The disc is 24x25x2 cm, the base 33x21x3 cm, so the total height is 28 cm. The signature is carved on the edge.
