Artwork description:
This is a linocut print of one of Saltburn's hidden gems - a gorgeous red-brick 150 foot high viaduct opened in 1872.
This is an original reduction linocut print, using just one block of lino and a process of carving away the lino between each layer of colour to produce the final image. It is a limited variable print from an edition of 18 using Strahmore lightweight printing paper, 120gsm and Caligo safe wash inks.
The image size is 30cm x 30cm and the paper size is approx 42cm x 42cm which gives a generous margin to allow for framing.
My linocuts are handmade from start to finish - hand carved, inked and handprinted, and as such they will have small variations between prints - making each print into a unique artwork. All of my prints are flat packed if delivered within the UK, and will be sent packaged in tissue and a tube if delivered outside of the UK.
