With a semi abstract painting, where the artist is including a recognizable figure with pure abstract forms and color, the problem is always to mate the two in a way that makes both components compatable. Here I am using the female figure, her alter ego and the moon as a departure point, leading to the less definitive shapes and colors of the bulk of the painting.
SALOME IS A MYSTERY is a one of a kind, original work of art. It is produced using acrylic paint and India ink. I have stayed with my usual pallet of warm “earthy” colors. The background has been digitally reproduced and laminated to the 4 mil archival grade mylar and then the portrait and other items were painted over the background. I only sell original work so there will only be one original. The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
This painting will be shipped in a tube. The artwork is very easy to mount on any type of board: plywood, masonite, foamboard, etc. I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell and also I include a hanging strip and a drywall hanging device. Everything that you need to mount your painting except the board.
