With this portrait study my aim was to create an Eastern European atmosphere with the soft aged tones of color with a suggested of a monochrome effect, like a smoke ages photograph. The subject can be seen as gender challenging, and this adds to the mystery surrounding the painting, like walking into an old house and finding an abandoned photo, asking one's self of the history behind the the soul.

Oil on canvas 40x30 inches
UV varnished to help protect against sunlight and everyday dirt and dust.
Sides have been painted so no framing is required unless wished. Ready to hang with a hanging wire attached.
Securely packed with layers of bubble wrap and cardboard.
