"Saint George killing the dragon" is a Romanian traditional icons painted on acrylic glass - plexiglass (reverse side technique) framed in wooden frame, also painted and varnish manually. Frame is provided with hanger so it is ready to be put on the wall.
Since the Middle Ages, Saint George is the protector of soldiers and symbolizes the victory of good over evil. He is also the great patron of England, Georgia and Moscow.
The story of St George is interpreted as an allegory of the struggle to save the soul of the sinful nature of man, as scary as a dragon.
Saint George riding a horse, arched and having presented the head in profile. The Saint is the a brown-haired young man, with round face. He holds the spear and thrusts it in the mouth of the dragon.
The Saint is wearing golden boots, armor scales and a wind-whirling red cloak.
On the left, as an architectural element is the castle. In front of the gate is the princess saved from sacrifice.

A „definition” of the glass icon says that it has to be done according to a model (izvod). It usually has no anatomical proportions, but balanced chromatic patterns . The models currently used are 200-300 years old.
The writing is Cyrillic. There are several elements of a typical icon on glass: it represents a character or more, the remaining space is bordered with flowers, rope or stars.
