Original artwork description:

Red sky in the morning... This painting represents that old mariner's rhyme that sailors might have used to predict calm or stormy passage. Imagining the breakers of a deep green ocean crashing to shore under a fiery dawn sky inspired this painting. I particularly enjoyed playing with the vivid color and creating a sky that seems surreal yet reflects the colors I saw as the sun rose over my farm just a day before I painted this scene. Acrylic with gloss finish.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint and stretched canvas
