Original, one-of-a-kind large acrylic and gold leaf on canvas painting from the "Golden Light" series.
"Golden Light" is a series of paintings - seascapes and landscapes, depicting amazing shores and ocean views of Nova Scotia. What is unique in this set of artworks is that I incorporate a gold leaf into acrylic paints in each of them. It creates a magic atmosphere of sparkling light on the sky, the clouds, the ocean waves, and the boats. Factually the golden light is the sunlight, whose rays are falling from the sky and enlightening all around, creating contrasts, reflecting from the water, playing with other colors on the canvas and finally getting caught by the eye of the observer. The intensity of the light changes with the angle of the view and is enhanced by the different lighting surrounding the painting. The painting looks wonderful under the bright daylight, as in the dim evening shadows.
The sides of the canvas are painted as a continuation of the main image, so the painting can be hung as it is or may be framed if needed.
The painting is sold unframed.
