Artwork description:

The author defines this work as a mixture of minimalism and expressive abstractionism. The idea is conveyed laconically with the plain bronze units joined in a simple and clear geometric figure. The work embodies the idea that the sculpture can be a plain and symbolic picture. The units in the sculpture resemble a tight bow-string, ready to shoot the arrow.
The boat is sailing vigorously with the wind at its back, but it also conveys the idea that it is looking for a harbour – a highlight expressed with the anchor at the bottom part of the artwork.
The creative pursuits of the artist are rooted in his turning back to the simplicity of the child’s imagination with its straightforward messages.
This work is once again based on the warm sculptural language of the bronze, “cooled down” on a stone pedestal.
Krasimir Krustev’s works require within 4 to 8 weeks to make. Every piece of his fine sculptures goes through several stages of creation – modelling, casting in metal and refining. A distinguishing feature of a great part of his hand made sculptures is their jewelry like quality, and every single one of them is created with great care to detail. The sculptor does not compromise with the quality of his work, and many of his creations are in the collections of art lovers around the world.
