Desert Diary
Driving towards the Mexican border the landscape becomes very sparse, minimalist, the weather and changing clouds transforming the views every minute. It has almost a meditative quality. The cinematic quality and extreme weather of the Mojave, Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts have inspired the collection Desert Diary. It often feels familiar, like a place you know, but have only seen in a movie. I have travelled these deserts for many years, and no road trip or landscape ever feels the same because of the constantly changing light and shapes of the desert. This image was taken near Tucson, Arizona
