Original artwork description:

It was another of the trees that appeared in the Egyptian iconography and that caught the attention of the Egyptians for its height, slender and erect trunk, crown with large petiole leaves (three to four meters) but without branches, and for its resistance even with high temperatures. For this reason, it was related to concepts of durability and rebirth and, like other trees, to the sky since its crown was considered to form the celestial vault. The palm tree grows in warm places where the water is not abundant. Therefore it symbolized the triumph of life over death, that is, the resurrection.

Materials used:

Strathmore 400 series 300g / color pencils.
